About The Department
The Procurement department in Bangladesh is reliable for obtaining goods and services for all types of business processes applicable to Novo Nordisk. This includes indirect operations such as office supplies, computers, travel, and maintenance, as well as direct operations such as raw materials and services for manufacturing. The team is devoted to ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in procurement activities.
Novo Nordisk Bangladesh affiliate has been growing fast. You will join a highly qualified team and report directly to the Finance & Operation (F&O) Director.
The position
As a Procurement Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Novo Nordisk guidelines and local laws in procurement and event-related activities.
- Drive judicious procurements and manage sourcing activities, including negotiation of contracts.
- Maintain vendor compliance and oversee contract management processes.
- Contribute to event management while managing with global sourcing teams.
- Participate in cross-functional task forces and prepare reports on procurement and sourcing activities.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a reputable university with 5-7 years of procurement experience.
- Demonstrated focus on processes and outcomes, combined with attention to cost efficiency.
- Strong logical skills and administrative discipline.
- Effective cross-divisional partnership skills and excellent written and verbal communication in English and local language.
- Proficiency in negotiation, finance, income tax, VAT laws, and IT systems relevant to procurement.
